If you get caught, the best thing to do is to just hand over your phone and hope that the teacher is not a hard ass, for the lack of a better term, and will give you back your phone at the end of the class or day. I always got mine back, but then again different schools/countries/etc most likely have different policies.
There are some other things you can do however. Some if the ideas that follow come from fans. The first one is to carry two phones. One you use, and one you don’t. Now, the fan that posted this suggested that you just give them the old phone, and get it back whenever.
Here is an idea that I came up with, but however I never tried it. Before you start, ensure that the phone you are not using is turned off. Keep both phones close by, so you can easily swap them. When the teacher calls you out or starts to walk over, hide your phone that you are using and get the one you are not. Now, say that you were not actually texting, just playing with your phone. They won’t believe you, and then say, “How can you text with a phone that is turned off?”. In theory this should work, but again I have not tried it.
Something you can do if you don’t want anyone doing anything with your phone, such as reading messages, there is something you can do to prevent this. All or almost all phones have a “lock” feature. You can most likely set your phone to lock on startup. This way, when you get caught, all you have to do is stall for a few seconds and hold the power key in to turn it off. When they try and turn it on, everything will be locked and they will only be able to call numbers you have set as “special numbers”, 911 or your local emergency number is in most phones by default.
Back to the tips!
